"Century Child" is a harmonious masterpiece album in itself, a real milestone of the genre. Songs like "End of All Hope", "Slaying The Dreamer" and "Dead to the World" are absolute blast Live - hard, fast and melodic to 100%. At the same time are wonderful half-ballads like "Ever Dream" and "Ocean Soul" that could not be more beautiful and poignant. Finally, this album still contains one of the most important Nightwish songs ever - "Bless the child" - the perfect midtempo Festival opener song! Great melodies, lyrics and schauerjagende very large compositions together in one of the best songs on this sacred Finnish band. As albums conclusion finally act even "The Phantom of the Opera" (horny cover song) and "The Beauty & the Beast" a kind of retro cover or own sample that also convince white and in every respect the high level of other compositions keep white.
"Century Child" marked with "Once" the (early?) Career climax of Nightwish and so this whole genre. The other bands coming, even though they are doomed class, here not even begin to approach!
