The somewhat dated Braun Shaver had to be replaced. Based on the reviews at Amazon, especially the value for money, I had decided on the Panasonic. Commercially there are really only Brown and Phillips; Amazon was grateful else would some good "competitors" do not have. My skin is sensitive, any knife shave impossible. The neck a problem area, always some sores after shaving with Braun. No more of that, since I have the Panasonic. Shaving is gently and thoroughly, no "black shadow" and no skin irritation remains. It is light and fits comfortably in your hand. With a single charge, I can shave one week. As damage is the only problem: What if the batteries are at the end, with electricity directly from the can can not be shaved. Replacing Batteries possible and at the cost, I can not say anything. The trimmer for trimming the beard or the edges works well. A possible wet shave I have not tried it yet, because I "dry" am fully satisfied. None of my Braun shaver ever "worked" so well, that makes shaving even downright fun with the Panasonic.
Addendum on 24.5.2011: After 2 years of use, the battery barely power and must be charged every day. New batteries cost about 20th They can change themselves, it is very fiddly. Who wants to do that from the retailer, may buy a new razor the same. The function of the razor is still perfectly when the blade sharpness has significantly subsided. After 2 years, throw it away because of the batteries ... Products with a longer shelf life saving resources; I buy no more battery shaver.
