Customer Review

This album is for "Meteora" my second favorite album of Linkin Park. Why? It is a logical continuation of the direction of "A Thousand Suns", which I find really great. Why do I still find better "Living Things" a ticking, is that in my view the relationship between electronic and rock units is more balanced again. Both are clearly and evenly represented, in my opinion. In addition certain playfulness or experimentation, the varied and at the same time as "Linkin Park" makes the album, like no other. At the same time it sounds very mature and professional. You can tell the band members on the experience and something more mature age.
The entry titled "Lost in the Echo" is a great piece that also the 10th time not listening to me is boring. (Sometimes it really runs with me in the endless loop.) Bombastic, electronically, engaging, and Chesters singing is painful nice. My second favorite is "Burn it down". It's danceable and - maybe it's blasphemy when I say this - it reminds me so much to another favorite band of mine, namely Depeche Mode that I like it simply MUST.
An unexpected stylistic outlier "Victimized". In fact, it fits much better in "The Hunting Party". What the band has this thought, I am not really clear. It is loud, fast, aggressive and really only Instrumentengedresche, topped by Chesters cry. At the same time fits very well to the text. Someone locked out completely, it is now all the consequences and implications matter. And that also transports the music. So I think it's not bad, just badly placed.
Thematically it comes to this album to interpersonal problems. Closeness, trust, dedication - and the resulting hurt and abuse thereof. Although the language is rather related to the public (not as deeply personal as "Hybrid Theory" and Meteora ") I can here again better identify with and empathize compared to" A Thousand Suns ". This is also a reason why it is one of my favorites of LP. My concern is just back deeper into the heart.
And one more thing for me stands out here still positive out: LP show that they can also be very quiet and almost tender (in "Powerless"). Just an all around fantastically beautiful album, what has in store for every mood and I like to listen to again and again. I do not want it beschreien, but I see it almost as a creative peak in her career.
