Mafia 2 - example of a wasted potential

8 years has 2K Czech allegedly worked on Mafia and as a big fan of the first part of which was several times since then played out and that is all-time favorite, I've been waiting for the 2nd part of these 8 years.
When the game finally was there was great joy and the first 2-3 hours of play were just terrific.
The graphics fantastic, the characters alive and equipped with an excellent Syncro. Vehicles driving wonderfully (if the simulation is on) and it makes a lot of fun to ride through the wintry city. Just like that to look at.

Then sometime in the 5th or 6th mission and begins on asking: what is there not? Where are the side quests? Why can not I go free if I want that? Why is there in the city so little interaction?
One thinks that will come because then at last the 1st side mission (albeit tiny) comes and you think - yep, here we go finally get going. Tutorial complete.

Unfortunately expects then a bitter disappointment. After grade times about 8-10 hours (depending on how much time you spend with cruise), the game is more or less suddenly to an end and you will be handled on a cliffhanger very finest quality and it is the way in which exactly one tiny side mission remained .. . :(

One can not understand me wrong ... if you have in mind not Mafia 1 and simply want to pursue only a beautiful to looking mafia movie on the PC Mafia 2 perfectly ... too short, but still sometimes breathtaking.

So why I forgive only 1 star? Because this whole game considered soberly out for the big 3 letters müffelt ... ... DLC ... ...
Looking back, one realizes where all the side missions are abgeblieben ... they come in previously announced DLC! And so it does not really stand out for the 2K has taken out the side missions for the DLC, they unceremoniously another protagonist created the mercenaries now completed these missions that the inclined players he prefers done with Vito and would have had in the main game.
What use to me geschnippselte side missions if around it any more ... the story is it's accounting for the attraction of GTA or Mafia 1. One could in between just once let the main story Haupstory be and just play around a bit ... not possible in Mafia. 2

And there are these little things that you miss very painful Mafia 2 gets a complete product incl. The upcoming DLCs from me only 1 point.
