1975 appeared the first solo album of Uriah Heep singer David Byron. Recorded it was from David Byron (Voice), Mick Box (Guitars) (Uriah Heep), Lee Kerslake (drums) (Uriah Heep), Pete Thompson (drums), Denny Ball (bass) and Lou Stonebridge (keyboards). Short missions also had Ken Hensley (Acoustic Guitar) (Uriah Heep) and John Wetton (Mellotron) (Uriah Heep). To follow all the former Heep-Mtglieder participated in the panel. The production took the then record of Peter Gall and David Byron.

In my ears can justify the very good reviews here in any way "Take No Prisoners". The song of David is of course very good, no question. However, not all songs represented well. Also, I hear too little `harte` guitars and the keyboards come up short. I liked `Man Full of yesterdays`,` Silver white man`, `Midnight flyer` and` Hit me with a white one`. `Scooter coaster` is also quite ok. All other pieces fall but significantly. Especially the radio song `` Steamin` along` and Stop` like not me. Overall, I hear too little Hard Rock, too little Heep out. Now of course you can say that a solo album should be distinguishable from the main musical band, otherwise it would not make sense. For me personally, the album is about but `gewöhnlich`. There is a lack of "Heep-gloss".

Due to the strong vocals of David and said good songs I hold three (3) star justified. You can buy the album, but it does not in my opinion. Friends of something more pop Heep should but once risk an ear.

RIP David Byron!
