Hoobastank stand out from the bottom of various hard rock bands from clear. A native of Los Angeles band is a guarantee for perfect songwriting, great melodies and enviable guitar technique (one need only recall the single "Crawling in the Dark" from the first CD "Hoobastank"). With their new CD "The Reason" they approach the stadium rock, what you hear already the opener "Same Direction". Huge sound walls close in subsequently using the handset. "Out of control", the first single, is unusually aggressive. Fast rhythm, powerful beats and a chorus with MATCHING Power only hunt along. What has to offer the CD otherwise: * "What happened to us": softer guitar sounds and rock-hard riffs are well-dosed combined. * "Just one" is real punk rock. * "From the Heart": Perhaps the best song on the CD. Staccato riffs and hard drums, combined with guitars let the earth shake. * "The Reason": A perfect ballad, a special highlight of the CD. One of the most beautiful love songs that I know. * "Never There": provides perfect grooving, syncopated drums If Hoobastank unpack the acoustic guitars, it is also interesting: In "Lucky" is started first tender until the song degenerates to bombastic sound. By the time the strings, the song is an anthem. Even with "Disappear" the melancholic guitar sound is sent interspersed with strings. The band has on the album perfect alternative rock. This album is a "must" every rock fan. My first highlight in the year of 2004.
