Masterpiece of literary Fantasy

Tigana, it's pure emotion, more dramatic than a massacre Kay depicts the slow destruction of an entire culture. The province of Tigana Peninsula Palme not only was devastated, its monuments but eradicated the Witch King Brandin, who lost his beloved son, has also cursed the name and memory. Only those born in Tigana before the invasion are able to hear the name. These are the ones who form the core of the book, their injury and their resolutions, fifteen years after the event. Such Alessan, the heir to the throne of Tigane tirelessly looking for ways to hunt and Brandin Alberico, the other wizard to carve out an empire in the peninsula. Or Dianora, who has vowed to avenge his family by killing the tyrant but tormented by her love for him.
Originally published by L'Atalante as Fantasy, Tigane actually falls much enriched general literature in a more subtle magic that usually goes through these securities. These are the emotions, strong intimate emotions are the real characters in this novel, especially during a final clean to pull a tear to any reader. Guy Gavriel Kay still my favorite to this day, I regret so much that he abandoned fantastic all in his later novels.
