The album begins with Factory, a good introduction Horses, quiet, schunkelig, melancholic. While listening, I had a funny aha: On closer listening turned out to be the assumed a very individual voice in reality as two voices singing 'the so harmoniously and subtly blends into the music that I had not even noticed him. With Compliments you frightened at first about the shrill compared to the very gentle Factory beginning, or 'to taste' is pleased with the invitation to wake up (which you should know when Band of Horses Yes, what you're getting yourself). Upbeat drums, rocking melody, although total usual gentle character. The next song Laredo first falls the very catchy guitar riff on, announced auspiciously by the song: Me you will not soon get out of your head. What follows is a rather sad song (which can very easily missed if you do not listen to the lyrics). Bluebeard is arranged interesting 'for example, acts over a large part of the song, the crash cymbal as a clock hand. However, my personal favorite comes only afterwards: On My Way Back Home, a beautiful worn (and, yes, pop) ballad. By the following theme song Infinite Arms, a melancholic and mystical melody that dissolves in nice schmaltzy Klimaxe at the end of each stanza winds. Dilly, so far the fastest of the number plate splashes, harmless to himself 'somehow one is sometimes thankful for something. Then we have the ears again for what quiet, simple, and the Horses know this and send us Evening Kitchen, a frugal but nice instrumentalisiertes piece with zweistimmigem vocals and guitar. We then sway by Older and land cheerfully at For Annabelle, a cozy, wistful ballad and then celebrate with their Horses presumably grandiose time in Northwest apartment. With the Neighbor Horses found for her album a nice finish. The piece begins quietly, but even suspenseful, and then increases in a brilliant finale. Overall a nice album 'that can not come up with the century hits, but the attentive listener is grateful. I think the only reason I just really like the Horses, and not idolatrous worship, is the fact that I unfortunately can not begin too much with the texts' but this is more common in the indie-rock division so I let myself teach also like better of it and wait for the day when I touch all these words suddenly deep. Very much I can appreciate, however, the artistic design of the booklet: This comes in the form of a hodgepodge of square notes therefore, on the front side images are reproduced, showing either landscapes or distant revolve around the theme home. Rear found then each an excerpt from one of the songs and the odd symbol-laden drawing. Very atmospheric, not kitschy, beautiful.
