So Let It Rain (MP3 Download)

Customer Review

The older the British melodic rockers Magnum, the more they have to say musically. 2011, published two albums: in January the highly successful 15th studio effort "The Visitation" and in November the best of "Evolution" on which were re-recorded and as a bonus 2 new songs. Less than a year later deliver Magnum already her 16th album, "On the 13th Day" from. Gratifying: there is finally back a single. A rarity.

"So let it rain" is a good piece and is - as usual in recent years - has become a whopping rock anthem. Rather held in midtempo schunkel ends, the solemn arrangement explodes in the chorus. Strings, a rousing guitar wall and Bob Catleys pleasant Storyteller voice - that is a great song. Mainman Tony Clarkin bubbles with over 60 with ideas. The production is nice guitar-heavy, without neglecting the melody. Clear it all sounds a bit dated, but so what? Magnum conjure up the fans of the genre still goosebumps and that is what matters to yes. In the charts you can rip anything with such music in 2012, of course. Still a nice thing that we once again have a Magnum-single, which also remember to convince. The album can come.

In addition to the radio version of "So let it rain" there is the longer and more mitreissendere album version, as well as a live recording of the song "Wild Angels" from Aschaffenburg. The small but fine last tour in Germany was a great success, also and above all because they are able to live really enthusiastic about the English. Be heard on said title which loses little in comparison to the studio recording of his energy. Convincing implemented.

We can only hope that Magnum again end up with the new album a success on the charts. The last work "The Visitation" did not make it in Germany at No. 19. Why sensational this time Top 10? It would be a huge hit later for a band that has acted for too long unjustifiably off the big rock circus. It would be really to give them. Better late than never.
