A Curious Thing (Audio CD)

Customer Review

With new songs, new energy and velvety pleasant voice MacoDnald Amy is back and is to continue its success story.

As in "This Is The Life" one gets the feeling that Amy Macdonald singing about things they deal especially with the new album.
The results are not particularly complex songs, but songs that it combines in again so typical mix of schmissigem guitar rock with melancholic-dramatic (power) ballads create moving again and entrain.

The songs are incredibly authentic and for the listener a real boon compared with the rest of mainstream tooting on the music market.

Already the opener "Do not Tell Me That It's Over" convinces across the board; the typical "Amy sound" is here combined with beautiful piano deposits and real strings inserts.
The same applies to "An Ordinary Life", a catchy song with a powerful chorus.

Particularly noteworthy are still "Troubled Soul", a quieter, yet punchy song with heavy drums and Celtic overtones, the fleet "Love, Love" and the beautiful "What Happiness Means To Me."
But the other songs are worth listening!

Conclusion: A Curious Thing "is an honest, personal and moving album that I can only recommend.
