I bought a few years ago the PC version of "Sam & Max - Season 1" and was thrilled: The German voice-overs that are still the classic "Hit the Road" knew were retained and the game ran flawlessly on my slightly outdated PC and liquid.
As Tales of Monkey Iceland later was released as WiiWare, I made friends with the perfectly implemented idea of being able to experience Telltale Adventures comfort of your couch on my television and was a little wistful that I had missed this opportunity in Season 1 - fortunate as has been pointed out today!
I do not know if you would have Sam and Max as Tomi prefer released as WiiWare or whether doing a similar disaster would come about, but the DVD version is just cruel ...
I can only agree with the previous speakers: dialogues are long finished speaking while the lips further stutter in front of him, minigames are virtually unplayable, the waiting time between scene changes tear to every patience and the Wii drive are constantly strained noises (the can not be truly healthy).
For game in: Accustomed tricky puzzles, brilliant humor, funny dialogues and a nice story. Who could Season 1, Season 2 will also have its joy.
Go to English Synchronization: Disappointing ... The German release was conditionally postponed by difficulties with the voice actors over and over again. The result is a complete replacement of all known speaker, which is not exactly positive. Synchronization is very unemotional and boring, often going through the missing talent of the speakers of any pun lost (through some nonsensical emphasis is believed not rare that the speaker did not understand his own joke).
Conclusion: A great game in unworthy implementation. Unplayable.
My recommendation: The PC version (collection DVD or Steam) Buy! If you want to gamble on the television, can make this happen via HDMI cable (and enjoy the game, depending on the TV so also in HD). I put all the English synchronization to the heart, where the speakers were not replaced.
Those who do not, or do not speak the English language sufficiently, can, as long as the console is available, grab 360 variant to Xbox! There the game on the Xbox Live Arcade marketplace under the title is "Sam & Max: Save space and time" was published as a download content. The Synchro's been very well translated in English in this version while all texts into German (even ingame graphics have been adjusted). In addition, the Xbox 360 version runs smoothly.
