I became interested in a forum for pond lovers on this "bird". I had a really big problem with probably several herons' who in the meantime tore my three Koi to my pond. I can not say with absolute certainty that this Atrappe works' but since I have set up this unit, my Koibestand has not decimated. The idea is supposed to be the one that the right sees the Atrappe, assumes the "feeding ground" is busy and looks for another place for robbers. As I said, since I have set up this Atrappe is nothing more happened. It's probably not important to change the location from time to time to awaken to a more realistic impression. In my experience, I recommend this device definitely. Commercially, even cheaper, smaller dummies are available, of these, however, I would not suggest, because too small and especially very realistic look. Hope you can do with my little evaluation.
