It is surprising how poorly "Dance Into The Light" is frequently got away with the critics in the media; the accusation was that Phil Collins was burned and had no new ideas more. The opposite is the case: Perhaps this is the most emotional and beautiful album that Phil Collins has ever made! As the title suggests, Collins removed here from the more melancholic mood of the album "But Seriously" or "Both Sides". The title song "Dance Into The Light" or other songs like "Wear My Hat" provide lively, easy melodies. Especially Phil Collins makes on this album again reinforced what he can best at: playing the drums! Admirable results are particularly "Lorenzo" and "River So Wide". Who does not require a diverse, surprising tonal variations and Phil Collins' way of making music like that can not get on this CD!
