Old tape with a new freshness

The new Alphaville album no longer drowned out already from the first song to be as fresh as the first fruits since 1984, receives therefore deserved four star plus - here the songs in detail:

1. Song For No One: The smart opener made a firework to a good mood and makes you want more 4 *

2. I Die For You Today: The single release has a good Synhi-hook and a good chorus 4 *

3. End of the World: Click here for the first time almost a bit rocky to - reminds me of "Lies" by staccato beat her - but has a completely independent structure with Melody Flipper atmosphere - cool Synthpassagen the end of the song 4 *

4. The Things I Did not Do: With synth rock's next - oops, the initial sounds somehow after verse of "Always On My Mind" by the Pet Shop Boys ...? The chorus is very refreshing and offers a really nice women-school band - beautiful! 4 *

5. Heaven On Earth: Beautiful ballad - here the beautiful voice of Marian Gold is really good effect. Even this number may ensue leading to 4 *

6. The Deep: piano ballad that does not like me entirely convincing - here's already been much better. Qualitatively, however, absolutely fine 3 *

7. Call Me: The old freshness resumed again and this track convinces through the dense synth arrangements and the depressed mood partly almost reminiscent of Ultravox, but without the lightness never lose - strong! 4 *

8. Gravitation Breakdown: Now comes the big guns. This song seems quite chaotic and some pseudo modern 3 *

9. Carry Your Flag: At the beginning recalls the instrumentation at the 86'er album "Afternoons In Utopia" but then the big surprise: since sings yes Morten Harket of A-ha! By then, however, the chorus's is clear: no, that is Marian, but the vocal here completely new facets shows - nice 4 *

10. Call Me Down: This piece, however, is now definitely not sung by Marian Gold, sounds for me therefore not quite at the level of other songs - ok 3 *

11 Phantoms: Yessss! And here he comes now: the high-flyer of the album. So we love Alphaville: Super Chorus, great synths, power voice - full program, full marks 5 *

12. Miracle Healing: Beautiful conclusion of a successful album with a ghospelmässigen power ballad - 4 *

Conclusion: Definitely buy and be infected by high really well-made feel-good music
