This book is based on Hemingway's own life and feelings. War indeed found to Spain, its principal stakeholders ... all on a background of humanity. There we were told the story of Robert Jordan, parachuted into the mountains to join a guerrilla group and, in order to blow up a bridge in three days. It will forge many and varied links with the group. It is a very human book which tells us precisely the heart and nerve of the war. It's more of a "bestseller" Hemingway.
