A few relatively new bands have managed in recent years to convince me completely. Coldplay'd lasted with "A Rush of Blood to the Head", now I've heard her new album "X & Y" several times and am just thrilled. So much power is rare in modern rock music, Coldplay convert hereby in the footsteps of U2. Yet they have not yet achieved what Bono and Co. have already done (anthemic rock classics), but they come to very close. While the previous album with songs like "The Scientist" or "In My Place" was more sown with slow ballads is "X & Y" peppered with some really danceable rock tracks, supported by more electric guitar and more drums, is a good example the first single "Speed of Sound", but also "Square One" or "Talk". My absolute favorite is "A Message", a song whose text is likely many people speak from the heart. It's a record to dream, a plate, which one should devote himself entirely, you should listen without distraction. Expectations of Coldplay were very high, especially since their fans had to wait a long time for this album. Probably Coldplay are to gain with this new. One thing is certain in any case: "X & Y" is already one of the best rock albums of the year !!
