Already at the beginning of focal length 10mm and furnace aperture makes it into the corners from sharp and contrasty. The vignetting and distortion is relatively small and is already corrected by the camera in the camera's JPEG engine. It is virtually free of CAs.
For owners of the NEX-7 is the most exciting question of whether to be reckoned with color shifts towards the edges ("purple corners"), which are usually realized, for example, for M-Mount when adapting classic wide-angle lenses. In extreme situations (solid gray sky) slight color shifts on the edges are actually with this lens on the NEX-7, at least in the lower range of focal lengths recognizable. These expects the JPEG engine of the NEX-7 largely out again (1:01 firmware provided), images in RAW format have to be separated in this respect still post-processed (eg with CornerFix or DNG Flatfield plugin for Lightroom).
All in all, highly recommended, only for occasional slight color shifts towards the edges when using the NEX-7 deliver a point. At another NEX with a sensor, the less empflndlich on oblique light reacts (NEX-5N, NEX-6, NEX-5R), it would probably become 5 star.
