Destiny is the latest work of the legendary developer Bungie team, which has worked with the Halo franchise a reputation as one of the absolute premium developers. Their latest game is a hybrid of first person shooter and a role-playing game such as the well-known reference product World of Warcraft.

Hardly a game at the end of the year with as much anticipation and hype received as Destiny. Hardly anyone my Playstation contacts does not own Destiny. After playing the beta, I plunged extremely positive mood in the world of Destiny and had extremely fun.

The fine, user-friendly gameplay of Destiny reminds her of Halo from the controller, the optics and the general feeling. Destiny provides the opportunity to one of three classes (fighter, titanium and Warlock) choose which trees possess different skills with different forces. The longer you play, the stronger your character.

Destiny offers 5 different planets, which are all set absolutely impressive scene. You can not believe how a gray rock as the moon is represented in this game. The universe is black on the surface and you can watch the world going as it rises and disappears. For fans of Space Adventures, a sublime sight. Each planet is personalized and unmistakable: The earth acts fall slightly as provided by a major war with waste and wreckage of aircraft that resembles a jungle planet Venus and the surface of Mars is a seemingly endless desert.

The game in this case offers four different types of missions: story missions, patrols, Strikes and raids. These missions provide the excellent game mechanics enough room to unfold. One feels the different skills provided always been very strong compared to the opponents, without that the game would be too easy at first. The fights run very smoothly, very intuitive and also provide shooter beginners a good start.
At first glance Destiny fulfilled the high expectations.

The facade is crumbling but only after the end of the campaign.
The first negative eye-opening experience starts right here: The "Story", which is not easily transmitted from now on equal. Man standing in front of the question of what one should do now actually going on, however, makes the excellent gameplay look past it. After a while it becomes clear that the aim of the game is to level up your character to the ceiling. While this still falls slightly in the period until the end of the campaign, the motivation flattened more and more.

Only now the fatal flaws in the game design is clear: Destiny suffers extremely at a ridiculously low content. The missions themselves are good, but there are just too few. The story missions offer no new incentives more, because there is no action, beyond either are too simple, because your character is too strong or impossible because the appropriate level / equipment is missing. Needless is the fact that the relatively long cutscenes can not be skipped.

What remains is the Strike missions, you can select either singularly or as a continuous loop. These missions are made class: Challenging fights against waves more expectant opponents are finished with an intense boss fight. Disappointing Here, the bosses are only himself: These are huge, stronger versions of normal enemies with more health. Demanding thereto are not the bosses themselves, but the resist recurring normal opponents. If you play the so-called playlists (mentioned continuous slipping) you will again and again thrown into the same mission, until ultimately all tension is gone. Often enough, a strike mission comes not before, for another 3-4 times. The game mutate into a monotonous execution without real progress in the hunt for better items.

You level up your character stupid until you can take part in the raids, of which there are currently just a mission. To make matters worse this mission is sometimes extremely flawed: opponents who are instead of dying suddenly at full health, a mission-critical shield that is not recognized by the game and no shots wards - not to mention that it is necessary, with a minimum of 3 other persons to start the mission.

Herein lies the next problem: The game is designed to forge partnerships with other players. How is it possible that there are no internal chat program? The only ways of interacting mountains nice and funny intentioned features like Beckoning, dance and show. That's funny at first, but you can not say anything with it. So you have to out of the game either provide blind play requests or change to the PS4 menu and then write a text. For Raids and the weekly challenges, there is no Matchmaking: An absolutely ridiculous design decision from Bungie, It is here that one needs this yet.

Side missions the game offers also a competitive multiplayer mode where you fight against other players. All maps in the game are very well prepared and offer good opportunities for long-distance and close combat. But again, the number is just too low. The same applies to the game modes: Team Deathmatch in 3-on-3 or 6 against 6 and a scale of Battlefield game mode where the goal is to conquer territories on the map.
Destiny still has a Free-for-All mode for 6 players, as well as the so-called recovery mode where you activate one point and then defended. The recovery mode is, however, of absolutely inexplicable reasons not permanently available. Why? Nobody knows well including Bungie.
Other popular game modes such as Capture the Flag are missing. If you look for nostalgic reasons again, the number of game modes from Halo 1 - also from Bungie entwickelt- on, you can only shake your head in disbelief.

I have rarely seen a game with so broke-lying potential as Destiny: The gameplay is awesome as you'd expect from Bungie and provides enough fun to justify the purchase.
But everything around it is a disappointment. I would love to continue playing Destiny, but there are actual no real motivation. The classes are too similar, the emissions too little, too slow and the Strikes of Raid virtually unplayable. What remains is the player-versus-player mode, which is great fun, but suffers from the same problems.

Destiny was unfortunately to provide an online role-playing game in the style without the correspondingly large content. What follows is clear: it will be paid DLCs coming as new motivation ... real impudence what Bungie has thrown here on the market - the gameplay would not be so overwhelming success! It's just extremely unfortunate, more remains to be said.
