The thanatnautes was the first books that I discovered by Bernard Werber. His writing style was immediately captivated. Mixing science fiction and scientific realities of our time he gathered in his Encyclopedia of Relative and Absolute Knowledge, Bernard Werber gives us a sensible approach that fictional life after death, and makes us reflect on the status of human being, of death and of our mission on Earth. We guess in his writings, the author feels a deep anxiety about the future of the human species. Not having read any of his books before, yet I have learned to appreciate this book, and eat out their logical sequence, the Empire of the Angels, which remains my favorite book, and would captivate any fan of mythology, surreal, or anyone who wonders about the existence of angels. Les Thanatonautes is of course an excellent book, whose title is, moreover, attractive and provocative: "Thanatos" = death "Communities" = browser, and throws from the start the atmosphere and the plot of the novel.
