The Optoma has a great picture. I have no great comparisons, but I like it and is also often referred to as really good rated. The colors are beautiful and natural. As described often, the black level is not the best, but that should probably improve with progressive life of the lamp a little.
The projector is located relatively close to my sitting position, but the volume is acceptable. It is audible, but not annoying for me because it is not loud as my old projector.
For RBE: Of course it exists. It's hard to classify this, but it's bearable, such as the eMachines V700. This impression coincides mainly with the opinions from the network that the RBE for this device is generally less pronounced.
The source is in me a PS3. What is then, unfortunately, I noticed a faulty image line at the bottom. This occurs at 1080p60 (HDMI) and shows up in a non-synchronous representation compared to the rest of the image. Upon request, the service is called, with a software update, the error was corrected. But this was too uncertain and I decided to buy at a later date a projector with newer firmware. This I then did, but with the same result: the erroneous line. The projector was equipped with the latest firmware. After a long search on the Internet, was then confirmed that Optoma knows the mistakes and there is no remedy for it. That means for me that I can not do anything with the device. The situation is different for those who have a screen with a black border. There could be the image just slightly larger pull the shimmering row to make them disappear. For me such expedients but do not come at the price in question. Even when more expensive model (HD20), that probably is identical, there is this error. When supplying scaled 720p to full screen is not the error occurs.
The projector works the way without any problems with a favorable 10m HDMI cable (I note herein that the error described above is not attributable to the cable. The same error occurs with shorter lines on).
And careful with the included IEC power cable. I have it exchanged for in placing the device against its own line, as due to the shaky plug audible contact difficulties have been encountered (and loud Kritscheln device comes with minimal movement of the projector off / on).
The thing with the connection cable ... certainly questionable, but I would have replaced itself. The line error but I can not accept. It is already a lot of compromises in such a good price. The largest is in my opinion the rainbow effect through the necessary color wheel, but the image itself should then be okay I think.
3 stars because: For me, the device is useless. But for others who can ignore an error precisely about this, it is the correct device on the basis of the price and the picture quality delivered it.
