My experience so far:
- Burns on my iMac (built in 2009, OS 10.6.8) directly from the operating system, ie it is not a separate burning software required
- With the Platinum 25GB blanks is six-speed without any problems, despite USB2 interface (previously around 10 blanks without failure)
- The written medium are detected and also read from the internal drive of your iMac
- All my existing data CDs and DVDs are read by the burner
- The criticized in some reviews short USB cable should be no problem for iMac users, because the computer is indeed on the table and you can place the burner directly below
Conclusion: The LG burner meets all my expectations at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for Mac users, even if the product is actually applied only for PC.
