The Nikon Coolpix 810 comes in different colors. We chose blue. This blue is a blue that runs into blackish. Looks really great out! First, the glossy drops on surface. Both are universal and must not be bought expensive.
Unfortunately, the PANASONIC batteries are corroded with my NIKON COOLPIX 810 after only 2 months and the battery compartment can no longer be characterized lock. This annoys me very much.
The housing form with a handle, the right seems less like an ordinary compact digital camera. She looks more like a digital SLR. To such a device but it is not, but it's actually a normal Super Zoom Digital clippers.

Batteries and SD memory card insert, strap and lens cap secure and get started. The control buttons and the menu are similar to those of all other Digitalkompakt- cameras. The only difference here is that the flash unit must be folded out manually. The photos are as with all digital cameras by choosing the image section by zooming and if necessitated by the operation of the flash. If the camera detects a face, a double green frame appears on the display. The NIKON COOLPIX 810 detects the smile and then takes the picture!
The TFT monitor on the back is really big enough. It is sharp and bright. Unless you're holding it in direct sunlight, you can see everything.

There are many options: for example landscape, sports, pets or portrait. The menu system is structured logically and is self-explanatory. As with better digital cameras you can decide for yourself 810 even with the NIKON COOLPIX what you want to focus.
Image quality:
The NIKON COOLPIX 810 offers 16 megapixel. However, I take this not really, because I would rarely print poster! This saves space and speeds up various processes during subsequent viewing.
The NIKON COOLPIX 810 delivers sharp images in good light and rich, saturated colors. Red eyes no longer appear. Unfortunately, focusing in low light conditions sometimes takes several seconds. And this helps at dusk but not always to non-wobbled images. However, I also feel that I am becoming more demanding over time. Previously, I realized that there are no good pictures at dusk without flash more. The flash is well controlled. It does not provide for bright and overexposed images more!
But a real highlight is the zoom, which is really strong! The optical image stabilization works well, so that the zoomed photos are blurred less than one would initially assume. To operate the zoom, there are two rocker arms: one as usual near the shutter button, the other side of the lens housing. This I do not use, however, as this is far too bulky for me.
Unfortunately, the zoom does not work very precisely, so that one back and produce must multiply to get the really desired image.
Video feature:
The NIKON COOLPIX 810 records video in HD quality on 720 pixels. Sound is recorded in stereo. The quality of the images and the sound is really good. Whether these videos, however, are also 3D capable, however I could not find, as I have no 3D TV!
Battery life:
For me the term of the batteries is really okay if they do not leak !!!
Image Processing:
The pictures are made exclusively in JPEG format! Even without installing the supplied software does the dubbing on the PC and edit the photos on your PC thanks to the SD memory card easily!

The NIKON COOLPIX 810 has a price-performance ratio, which can be more than excellent. The camera delivers a class image quality and easy handling. Much is made automatically by the camera. Those who like to want to adjust everything, will not be happy with this camera. Who contrast emphasis on being able to snap good photos quickly, here comes at his expense. The focusing takes the camera off automatically. Most works so well, it takes at ungünsiten light only several seconds. In daylight, this works very fast !!!
