Talib Kweli goes independent

I had to write a review here, because to date only one has been written and I want to support good Rap / Hip Hop. I have therefore also decent bought the audio CD, not least in order to promote Talib's label Blacksmith.

I went with little expectations in these by Talib Kweli independently recorded (unsigned) LP and was very pleasantly surprised. I almost feel that the true Talib Kweli since the classics with Mos Def "Blackstar" and Hi Tek "Train Of Thought" comes to the fore for the first time and this time again agree the beats / the flow.

Basically, there is not a bad song on this CD, mention should be made, in my view but especially the tracks "Palookas", with a Sean Price of very reminiscent of Big Pun, and of course the Ski Beatz produced "Cold Rain". Nice is also the introductory Skit by Ed Lover, which merges with the old school beat of "I'm On One".

Talib Kweli is one of the last real old school rapper, where each song makes sense and has a message. Supports this and you bring the CD or MP3 downloads. I'm going to play in the next few weeks this CD regularly and also with his other solo releases "Qualitiy", "Beautiful Struggle" and "Eardrum" enjoy :)
