The new Braun Cooltec CT2cc conveys a surprising new feeling during shaving. The cooling effect immediately after switching and the start of shaving and is immediately palpable on the skin even in these summer temperatures. The shave is much more pleasant, the skin reddened or significantly less tense after shaving. After a few days I do not want to miss this. Whether it is interspersed ultimately, the market has to decide. In any case, this innovation is for me (although surprising, because why is there so far none have guessed?) Absolutely convincing.
Now for the but:
Who was previously used the pivoting shaving heads the series 3-7, will have to change. Although the heavy head is designed so that you all problem areas (under the nose, the neck, etc.) eventually gets smooth, but you have the razor to move significantly more and more targeted. With a little practice after several shaves it will certainly succeed even in the morning, but it's a conversion. Probably, as already shown in another review, this is likely to be on the cooling element in the shaving head. What makes things easier but again is that the device is relatively heavy and well in the hand.
Battery performance is such that after approximately three times shaving with activated cooling the shaver needs to charge in the cargo box or in the cleaning station. Cooling Technolgy calls here probably its price. How this affects the number of charge cycles, time will tell.
To clean the proven cleaning station is provided in the case of CT2cc. However, also an advantage, the unit is completely waterproof and can sometimes be between cleaned under running water.
Conclusion:
+ Great innovation by cooling while shaving
+ Very good workmanship and design
+ Prospective accept handling by weight and Design
+ Dry as wet clean and usable water
~ Move away from the tried and tested oscillating shaving head
~ Frequent reloading required
Therefore, from my 4 stars with tendency to 5
