I think "the end is near" as a title fits very well with the impressions one gets from this CD. I had to listen to me only several times before I could make up my mind as I review. 5 star it gets mainly because it has a certain historical significance, it shows Elvis Presley in different shows a few months before his death. And in fact, some songs among them who still induce goosebumps with me, especially "Unchained Melody" and "My Way" because they sound today as one of the "swan song" of the King in the ear. Even otherwise are some excellent interpretations including such as: "Trying To Get To You", "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", "Fever", "Help Me", "Fairytale" and called "Unchained Melody" and "My Way". Also "Polk Salad Annie" has a lot of fire for 1977 as well as "Blue Suede Shoes". However, the CD also proves once again that many of the old Elvis things have just bored, such as "Hound Dog". The sound quality is excellent, considering how the photos were taken - a very good job of FTD. I think a successful presentation of the "last months of the King" and for that you have to give 5 stars. Ultimately, the CD is a further proof that Elvis Presley was the greatest entertainer of our time and will remain for a long time. That Elvis after 1973 to have been only listless, obese, tablets and drug addict, represents only a small part of the truth. It was probably a "prisoner of his own", but gave up in the end always quite outstanding concerts. It is a pity that Elvis himself apparently not had the strength to break out of his vicious circle .... and even worse, it is that he had a management that merely looking at him as a 'marketing object "and not as a human being, otherwise we would have this year (2005) might be able to celebrate his 70th birthday with him and not in memory of him. So we can only hope for more good shots of FTD and we can, of course, to the great - continue to enjoy legacy of Elvis Presley - lasting.
