The original book is to relate the basic elements of Buddhism on happiness with major scientific discoveries of psychology and cognitive science. Although some interpretations of the scientific work is sometimes questionable (why people in Western countries are said in overwhelmingly happy) or are sometimes ignored (I think notament working on the development of the self), the book is full of information relevant and fascinating anecdotes which once read the book, you feel lighter, better, happier ...!
