Beautiful retrospective of the life of Joseph Delteil by himself, dated 1968, on the eve of his disappearance. He describes his audoises origins, its stunning success in making literature rub him in the Parisian milieu, the largest inter-war, returning just as brutal in his Languedoc, determined to live in "paléolithie". This return to simplicity ("happy" say Pierre Rabhi!) Foreshadows an ecological momentum, nine at the time. Book jubilant, with plenty of anecdotes and witticisms. A writer quite apart! His birthplace, Villar-en-Val (Aude), devoted a very nice walk around the village, dotted with quotations from all his works. Beautiful initiative that encourages the visitor to read them!
