The saga of Patrik Hedstrom and Erica Falck is now among the classics of crime fiction. It's still easy to read and the last pages are deliciously exciting. However it clearly becomes repetitive: sordid history of the last century (violence, incest, etc ...) that result in this recommence where similar things (violence, incest murder) covered by the law of silence. Incidentally, the recurring characters become less engaging.
