Now to the music (! Could SPOILER included): I had bought the CD before I had seen the movie myself and really have to say that Howard Shore has done a great job here.
The pieces shall be consulted by the Bank beautifully. Particular highlights in my opinion are "Sons of Durin", "Iron Foot". "To the Death", "The Fallen", "Courage and Wisdom" and "The Return Journey". These places have such emotional depth that you have goose bumps and tears in his eyes. To be highlighted are here in their variation, the topics of "Thorin / Erebor", "Tauriel" and the love theme of Kili and Tauriel. The new BattleMechs and Iron Foot-topic are ganu large class. It's just an indescribable listening.
By last pieces (from about "The Fallen") runs a melancholic undertone, which can not forget the audience that this is in spite of the victory of good over evil, especially by the death of the main protagonist Fili and Kili and especially by Thorin , not about the conventional happy ending, as one might wish, is but a certain tragedy is pending. This Howard Shore has implemented with his music in my opinion masterfully.
The sung by Billy Boyd "The Last Goodbye" I find particularly respects royal of the text very appropriately and uses the music beautifully the mood of the film on. A song to dream and interior Hold!
If I after I've seen the movie'm listening to this soundtrack, I experience the film in my mind again and The generated when seeing the film emotions come up again.
Anyone who loves the music of The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit 2 previous films, this CD is a very strong buy recommendation.
