Completely independent of any record company constraints plays Todd Wolfe Band on so relaxed as I have also seen live. Todd on guitar (once the lead guitarist for Sheryl Crow) is a super quiet representatives the (musical) can bring anything from the rest. Not for nothing that he has turned down a million offer of a large record company many years ago to continue to be independent. With his colleagues Roger Voss on drummers, Justine Gardner on bass and John Ginty at the keyboard instruments he creates here a tangible Rock, Blues and Country occasional rug on the shekel. It gets just the great Hammond and piano playing of John Gentry each song really well. Everything looks warmer and more varied than the disk (Miles To Go) in front of it. Justine Gardner, just 27, plays a cracking bass for me. Your bass lines are at times nothing short of spectacular and give the music depth and a drive of just knows only one direction together with Roger Voss: Forward !!! The title "Gone" is a good example!
In total there are this time 2 Cover pieces: "Outside Woman Blues" by Eric Clapton (where his voice even damn close rankommt ans original), and "Black Queen" by Stephen Stills, reproduced much harder and more intense in his version. Superb guitar !!!! "Mercy" comes along with Cheryl Crow from his pen, and dates from the early 1990s.
For me out tip is no. 1, the closing track "Hoodoo River" set back with incredible drive and a melody but immediately in the legs also goes by the Hammond somehow totally psychedelic comes across as if we were 60 in the end, or early 70s. This song is like ne drug ... a legal drug, but comes fully well! And yet it has a lot of surprises, not only to play the drums and the bass lines of Justine Gardner!
This was live over 100 times more intense !! The CD I have, incidentally, after the concert at 24.04. purchased and can also be sign, incl. nice conversations with the band !!
