but the software is "in need of improvement"
After a FW update the camera with motion detection suggests itself at the lowest sensitivity at each fly alarm, and I mean that literally. I have written to support yesterday and will report how the reflected so.
Oh and not "German" to change, otherwise you will be confused. Second ie "second" was translated as "second". Here Trendnet has not even let cross read by a translator, but rely on Google Translate.
The FW update has canceled the rest of my entire configuration. The backup that I made seconds before the update, denied the new firmware version.
Who needs a perfect camera for continuous monitoring, is right here. Who needs such as the Motion detection, lost. The cam switches now night suddenly between night vision and day vision back and forth and then detects a "movement"
I always get an email with 3 photos and a sequence between the movement is stored on my NAS.
Software 2 star, 5 star hardware, so I round time generously to 4.
Update 14/08/2014
I got a response from support:
Dear Customer,
Please make surethat after you upgraded the firmware did you reset the camera by holding down the reset button for 15 seconds while the power is on then unplug the power for 15 seconds then plug the power back in. This will reset the unit back to the Default Settings and you will need to reconfigure the camera.
I did that now. Firmware on it, Factory Default, normally turned on, manually re-set. Result I will report later.
UPDATE 21/08/2014
after I've done everything, the problem was not resolved, I got alone last night 60 false alarms. During the day it is ok as long as no sun / clouds light up the ground in exchange. In addition, I now have the NFS problems to persuade back to record. Try it once with CIFS. I report what the support is taking next.
