At last a real Driver game by no longer needs to leave the vehicle and traipse walk and rumba preparers stupid and copy GTA, but just go!

Cars: Well, the big fleet, even a Pacer and a VW Bulli are! A minus are the much too dark cockpit, they are not as beautiful as illuminated in Test Drive Unlimited, so that it's no fun to ride in the cockpit view.

Replays: negative is the replay function, to look at this is just awkward about the director mode, you can not just quickly look at a replay as Driver1. If you then processed and stored a chase in director mode, which can look quite good, but the preset camera angles are not as cool set to 70s as Driver1, but must only be edited with difficulty. The animation / suspension of the vehicles is not as nice as in the rocking Driver1.

Graphics: The buildings of the city have not so beautiful and colorful textures as Driver1, but are not as bleak as in Driver3. Very bad the exaggerated dark shadow set, both in the urban canyons, as well as in the cockpit and in the person view, where the rear of the vehicles of the Render Engine poorly illuminated. Also monitor adjustments help because nothing that was bad at Driver3.

Story and Characters: The story does not have the dense and cool atmosphere as in Driver3 and the characters seem rather wooden and trying desperately to be hard; very bad movie. However, the awards are fun, which give the passenger while driving!
In movie mode, you can challenge the cars from famous movies go (eg Blues Brothers, Bullitt, Driver, A Smokey and the Bandit, The Dukes of Hazzard, Vanishing Point / limit point zero, Starsky & Hutch).

The compulsion to Uplay application are identical yet a complete star deduction. (Since no Uplay the game is not playable, this fact must be included in the negative game reviewer)

Conclusion: The fun factor is not as high as in Driver1. Graphically and play technically it is more of a mix of Parallel Lines and Test Drive Unlimited. In Driver 5 it's fun to cruise through the city, lie a few cheeky drifts and boards into oncoming traffic. That's good as a slightly better break game for in between: 4 stars minus 1 Uplay deduction.
