I already had the two volumes of 2002. With spending in 2006 is an extension of three volumes before. The See by photos are not black and white but in color, which enhances the impression. Most standard tourists know of the Utah Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. But yet that this state tremendously to have a lot more for fans of rock formations, even do not know all individual tourists. Of these, most certainly know the Arches National Park, but on just south lying Canyonlands National Park travel past many of them. Or who knows directly east of Bryce Canyon at least a part of the fantastic Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument? Compared with the 2002s edition, the Dinosaur National Monument and surrounding targets with Indian Rock Art are included in this volume. Here, Martres limited in his books not on the National Parks and National Monuments are but the interested travelers the opportunity to make new discoveries. His books are for those with eyes - including the third, the camera lens - travel the western US, an indispensable help: precise information about directions and from the main roads distant targets and the road conditions, the time required and the best time of day for photographing , In the standard guidebooks of the relevant major German publishers one misses such precise information. One must with Martres' recommendations to the latter, however, be creative if you're not a professional photographer and is entering for a limited time from another continent: its recommendations for optimal lighting usually focus on a maximum of two hours to get the sunrise and two to watch the sunset, too little time even for ambitious travelers. For your own planning, you should always think with the early morning or the afternoon 2nd half to photograph more than two goals per day.
