Osram promises 2 years at an average of 2.7 hours per day. With the old 150 watt fuel rods I have also achieved always pretty much (I write always when replacing the date on the bulb). With the new, energy-efficient 120 Watt fuel rods but I reach only 6 months, some have also failed after 1 to 3 months. It seems that Osram has planned wear not under control and the 2,000 hours have significantly exaggerated.
The one negative is that the 120 watt fuel rod is although advertised as a replacement for the 150 watts, he but only 2250 lm 2500 lm has held and therefore is more like 135 watts.
I will no longer buy Osram, as I have learned with other halogen lamps, that the promised Bern duration is not reached. Then better yet the cheap China Kracher, because the failure does not hurt so much after 4 weeks.
