The album is now running now since already a few years time and again either on vinyl, CD or laptop at home and I have to say that I still am not sorry to hear. The compositions of the album are very nice to listen to and be supported by the special vocals of Avi Zahner-Isenberg. Comparisons can be example to draw The Shins or Arcade Fire. The guitar is always influential, but not dominant with little spending more. The lyrics seem not ranked as loud platitudes together, but underline the often rather calm and thoughtful to melancholy music. One of my favorite lines is here: "Your lips taste like little pieces of bacon." What lovely refreshing way to describe the beauty of lips) to find this line is on track 2 "What's it in for". Generally, this is my clear favorite on the disk, just because there the peculiarity of the voice comes through what some would describe as a squeaky, in my view, however, is just right for the music with slightly haggard guitar and the quiet drumming.
In conclusion we can only say that I would recommend this album, which can engage in an album and not judge listen to the music the first time. The album certainly need some time to please, but when this point is reached first, it remains in the heart like an old friend.
