The existing rarities (Precious Wilson I Do not Know (Long Version), A La Carte radio, Eruption Runaway the Long Version, Magnifique-Magnifique, Fancy-Slice Me Nice (Slice Remix), Orlando Riva Sound Fire On The Water the Long Version, Joyce Try Me a sung version of Magic Fly, Aneka-Oh Shooby Doo Do Long and the surprise addition at the end of CD 2: Boney M. Rasputin as an instrumental) are of interest to me and were a reason to buy. The title "Eve of the War" is here but before in the 1986 Sound Mix.
The digital sound processing is almost entirely managed and therefore stands out from many other mid-table samplers. The Slice Remix of the title "Slice Me Nice" sounds a bit thin and ends with a bit annoying seeing the woman shouting.
The total playing time was min on CD 1 with 79:26. and at CD 2 with 78:03 min. excellently exploited.
As a special addition, the extensive, informative eight-page booklet is worth mentioning. After the title screen, on two sides, the information is listed at the CDs with artist, title, playing time, composer, lyricist, year of publication, and record label. Following is an introduction of the moderator Frank Eberlein. Followed by three pages with in-depth information on each title. On the last page is the imprint and address. The CDs are equipped with CD-Text.
Such samplers are needed! Keep it up. Strong buy recommendation for all music fans and at a very fair price / performance ratio.
