The song is not bad! It has a very beautiful melody and the new singer is not bad either. But just when Nightwish greatest strength is weakening it. Namely the instrumental. On one hand, it sounds a little bit like the former things of Nightwish. Synth strings and voice in the foreground is called for here. But what have they retained from the new sound, the rather quiet electric guitar and was still louder in Storytime and co. But what I miss most is the bombast. The loud drums, heavy guitars (solos), Marcos vocals and of course the large full orchestra (If you listen closely, then you notice the strings, but also come from the synthesizer, there is no trace of wind instruments). And, although each of these points could very well fit in this song! Here Nightwish has just gambled away a very big potential. If one views it with Storytime (the last single) compares: a voltage anabolic foreplay. Then a loud guitar. Then the chorus is still beautiful with a loud guitar. And the chorus, it's really loud, with horns! Then before the second verse a (small) orchestral interlude. Then the bridge beautiful choir, Hammer Drums and a real fat orchestral part with still fat drums and guitar and then everything ends brilliantly in the last chorus. Why bother? This would also have everything wonderful reingepasst in Élan. And yet it would have been very good on its own, because of the great and quite different tune. Well I am disappointed and hope it does not continue on the album so. Shame
