Warpaint (Audio CD)

Customer Review

As long as there is not even here that Warpaint have conquered with their first album The Fool some hearts by storm. Hearts of music fans to move a little pop-mainstream indie and the call probably more than an album by The Cure on the shelf her own. On the self-titled album No. 2 it broddelt further melancholically threatening, but there is a meaningful extension of sounds. Love is to the Love is not to the Love is to live, shine the two singers Emily and Theresa in LOVE IS TO DIE, the third song of the album, sexy and totally bringing out of balance.

From this song is one aware that there is something spectacular in the rest belongs to an album. Warpaint mix new sounds a, synthesizers and above all TripHop. Or in other words, less punk, more Portishead. The song HI is a good example, he creates a hypnotic like Portishead to dummy times as BIGGY (BELOW). Dark Bass, Drums slow and wonderfully melodic melancholy, but with slightly less post-punk, but with more ambience. This change is, however, well understand and makes perfect sense. I do not think too many fans of the first album this step can not be followed.

It's just a little more towards mass compatibility, but this must indeed be nothing bad. And in times when pop acts like Avicii OneRepublic and topped the charts, it is important to cherish as a band like Warpaint fortiori and maintain.
