But would really still albums like "stinky" or "with peppermint ..." a real opportunity in the market? I do not think so! The mass could not relate to it, because no matter how "raw" some lyrics were, so were nevertheless deeply! So naturally buy primarily the "old" Marius fans his albums - always with the hope that he would return to his old form.
But that is far from over, and Hr. Westlife must now be the mainstream justice. Like other veterans, he must hammer out to showcase the balancing act between his slowly fading glory and the need / urge to New! True to the motto: Who takes from a rich punk nor punk attitude? Anyone who takes an Armani Rocker still off his skirt?
So they produced a fine album, with a great sound (really), with a pleasing mixture of (sometimes rocky) ballads (Typically you tonight, love madness, out of you mother) and some pieces in mid-tempo (We have the fed up, Hey Hey), sometimes a little cool-modern (Schinderhannes, stinks with both feet on the floor), sometimes even a little country-style (love).
All is not bad, especially since Marius voice somehow do not want to be old (if that is probably lifted? :-), But also not really good.
And coupled with an optimal presentation and a low price (against which I have nothing but principle) can be his music quickly and sell a lot of these days. But a bargain need a minimum of quality in order to be a real bargain!
Personally, I weep no old Marius afterwards! I do not need warmed Marius, who brings me back old memories. I need rock music that hits me now, now lets mitrocken. And this feeling can not give this album.
For this, a "sufficient" or "it's ok" - could not be better!
