I had pre-ordered the game for me, as it was described in the notice as Win7 compatible. Many old games no longer walk on my Windows7 64-bit system, since they are not compatible. My disappointment was great but when I got the game box. No word on Windows7 or Vista on the packaging. At first I wanted to return the unopened box, but decided to take the risk. Was not expensive. I then checked the game before installing on compatibility issues (right-click on the setup.exe file) and the last running system Windows XP, Servicepack2 specified and then installed. Lo and behold, it works. Now have Splinter Cell 1 played through without problems and installed Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow 2 yesterday. While here bleats the game in the first test (graphics card), but I got the messages simply ignored and it runs flawlessly. Zocke it by now and may like to give an update when I Splinter Cell 3 Chaos Theory install, if desired.
I definitely enjoy this old ham, at least require some consideration when playing and not rely on meaningless Plink.
UPDATE 09:05:11 Have now by Pandorra Tomorrow. No dropouts. Works just fine. Update on Chaos Theory follows in due course.
UPDATE 28/07/11 Chaos Theory and Conviction also run properly. Double Agent I have not played.
