Certainly, the graphics are not what you are used today - but it is quite detailed (if you deep inside zooms) and provides everything you need. The rest is not "bombastic" - but here we are talking precisely only by the graphics and sound effects.
What kind of game is just makes the game depth - that you go with a whole pack of skills, characteristics, told stories, puns ... and last but not least the absence of game aids such as "Quest Markers" etc which send a quite look at the search or have to use a sticky note (oh God!) to eg have to write a Safe Code :)
Technically there is nothing to complain about. Have had no crashes, the German texts (speech output is always relatively rare and English) are all good (there are now and then even a few typos and very rarely you see variable names in descriptive texts) - are and the load times fortunately very moderate so that frequent reloading (which is also necessary) fix it by hand.
Otherwise Wasteland 2 plays very quiet - whoever builds on a action flick should here rather keep her hands off. Eben much text - much tactical battles - a lot of character optimization. Say exactly that what I wanted :)
I'm concerned, so 5 star because the target (retro style) has been reached to 100%!
