Careless World: Rise Of The Last King (Audio CD)

Customer Review

It took a while to Micheal Ray Nguyen-Stevenson has his second album "Careless World" finally brought out. Four years after his debut album "No Introduction", he now brings with "Careless World", his first album on Young Money Cash Money out. I did not expect much, because he has left with this album a lot of time and his mixtapes were very promising before this album.

The album stands out by its diversity. From calm and thoughtful songs such as "Black Crown", on Kopfnicker as "fadded" to love songs like "Love Game". Tyga driving here really to much, and the guest list is and with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Marsha Ambrosious, Wynter Gordon, Pharrell, J. Cole, T-Pain, Chris Richardson, Robin Thicke, Wale, Nas the new YMCMB member Busta Rhymes very large. I am against oversized guest lists almost always very skeptical, but here makes most of the guests really sense and care for one or the other track for that special something, such as in the for me best track of the album, "King & Queens" with Wale and Nas. The track invites in a very melodic beat a dream. Tyga scores but for me anyway just with the thoughtful songs and so are "I'm Gone" with Big Sean, "This Is Like" with Robin Thicke, "Light Dreams" with Marsha Ambrosious and especially "Black Crown" also very strong songs. Among the highlights is also very soulful "Let It Show" where he is assisted by J. Cole. Except for Pharrell and Boi-1da he dispensed with the big names behind the controls, though the beats are very strong and you can not miss the large producers actually. But despite the many strong tracks there are also less good songs like "All I Do" or "Lay You Down" which are rather boring and the track "Far Away" he wants too much for my taste, and goes too far in the direction of pop music ,

One notices in this album, that one of the more talented Tyga, if not the most talented artists in YMCMB. The album has withstood even my expectations and there is not much to complain about for me. But of course I have to say that on this plate probably the newer hip-hop generation is more likely to have fun and the older long-established hip hop fans might not be celebrating this album so. But I count myself (now) even to the older Hip Hop fans and find the album but very well done.

Eventually I give the album 3.5 stars.
