That this machine can make really good coffee, so it must not be said in addition to all the already positive reviews. But for really good coffee you just need really good coffee :-)
The Nespresso capsules are naturally unlike conventional coffee a lot more expensive. Many complain as to the aluminum waste, the produce capsules. I would, however, like to say something if they are disposed of properly: That is in the "yellow bag" (with the coffee in it) !!!!, the capsules are recycled almost 100%! My father works in an aluminum foundry, where among other aluminum scrap to be melted down again (with the Nespresso capsules) from the yellow bags and further processed. It costs energy, but further processing (if ever happens) of plastic capsules is much less costly. The aluminum found in proper disposal its way back into other objects made of aluminum.
Now I have been looking for several months this machine and me since even after alternatives to the Nespresso capsules. The capsules of Gourmesso did very well in some forums, so I ordered a small package to try them out (goes only over the Internet).
A coffee or espresso will cost the Gourmesso capsules about 24 cents. Since it is only free shipping with a purchase value of 35, costs a cup to the 27-30 cents (which no longer soooo much cheaper than Nespresso's). The capsules are made of plastic and sealed individually in plastic film (ie makes neat garbage). They contain about 5g of coffee (I opened it and re-weighed. Nespresso guarantees at least 5g, in the 3 sample capsules but was always just under 6.3 g). The coffee flows more slowly through the machine, the crema is comparatively great, just on the taste can be a marked difference seen. The so popular Nespresso roasted flavor is missing, it tastes a bit watery, and the intense varieties, the milk (for cappuccino) not really filled with flavor. Many varieties are very acidic and not for sensitive stomachs. General so very disappointing. To me it's not about to drink mainly coffee. I want a good one. Since I have the 10 cents less per cup not worth it.
About the so favorable Lidl capsules I need not even speak. The Jacobs moments capsules are for between times okay (if only because you get them at the grocery store - if you do not feel like having to go to the Nespresso Boutique), but they are not much cheaper than Nespresso. And do not taste half as good.
If someone has already tried other varieties, I would appreciate comments!
And now quickly to the milk frother: That's absolutely amazing! Too bad that it is so small. I do not think that you really can make 2 cups of cappuccino with the stated amount, but because it goes so fast, I like to have one serving after. The organic milk from Lidl is unfortunately absolutely not suitable for milk froth. It arises only none. The Landliebe milk I make the creamiest and tastiest foam.
I hope my review was helpful for some and wish you much fun with the machine!
