I liked the way this novel is built in several "time" each bringing different emotions and feelings. Some passages are dailleurs especially sad, the great history painfully reminds the characters ... The narrative is in first person, Elise remembers his youth, the events that have disrupted his life and Tyneford, small village in Dorset.
