XIII, tome 1, the day of black sun (Paperback)

Customer Review

I discovered XIII through the mini-series and TV series that have just left me unsatisfied. I usually follow the comic series "Largo Winch" whose script is signed by Jean Van Hamme and curiosity pushed me to get me that first album XIII.

I wanted to know if the original BD deserved its excellent reputation ... and I must confess that the first album left me a good impression. Certainly, the graphics have aged a bit (especially the color slightly tristounes), but the script and the dialogues are just excellent.

Where the TV series offers us a show action in the US, the BD gradually reveals a plot well put together and very involved with engaging characters, mysterious and disturbing. The hero exudes a certain charisma and we really want to discover who he is and why he is chasing.

In short, this reading was a really exciting experience and it really made me want to follow the rest of this story. ;)
