Listening Booth: 1970 (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The singer / songwriter Marc Cohn has chosen here 12 musical gems and personal favorites from the 1970 and interpreted in his own, quiet way. I also find the new arrangements very successful. Music for peaceful evenings, a real feast for the ears.

Music fans surely recognize all the songs again, even though these songs were not constantly hear in the big radio stations then and now, or are. This fact raises the illusion to hear a new song material Marc Cohn makes these songs so in a sense to his own. Singling out individual tracks, is superfluous. The photographs are of a piece. But: After the first listen I particularly like the duet with India.Arie in the song "Make It With You" by David Gates. This song was already of group Bread a classic. The great voice of India.Arie I immediately recognized, even though I had not yet read the booklet before the first hearing and otherwise not many have read about this CD.

Of particular note is the successful sound quality, pleasant to read from many today and stands to heavily compressed recordings. This publication shows once again how a good production can sound on the supposedly long declared dead medium CD or options provided the CD when it is only produced carefully enough.

Countless millions of people throw Mr. Jobs repeatedly the money only so afterwards, to be always at your iPhone, iPod or iPad to date. Then they use these things also to consume music, make your hearing broken while running with the plugs in your ears as autistic by the world. Pity about the hundreds or more Euro's, not to mention the little eco-friendly garbage that is produced. With this money, everyone could for many years to invest in a decent stereo once. So then real musical enjoyment is possible and you can then also with 60 or 70 years, happily listening to his favorite music. The time comes to determine where you would like the, it then but maybe can not, without having to be implanted is expensive hearing aids.

I want to but then again be conciliatory: an iPhone (or iPad and Co. and all other competitors) can take many years to do his service well. You do not yet have any new gimmick and therefore buy back the demand, demand, successor to all years. You can make calls with such gizmos when careful handling even in 10 years. More needs not human. People: Kommuziert prefer with your fellow human beings and listen to your music so how should you listen eigetnlich. At home or with friends; alone or with other like-minded people: But on an ordinary plant. Then shall ye also remember how much joy can make music beyond Lady Gaga.
