In 150 fragments, and our loves explores four regular destinies, four briefs blunt fragments. The novel opens with Martin, who spent youth as some would say "dissolute" between alcohol, drugs, parties and glamor - as it has many appeals: mostly women, and one in particular, Hannah, who eventually renounce. He also lived for a time with Peter, literary critic, journalist precarious, who prefers boys. In taking stock, failing to wait for better days or Martin, Pierre moved into a quieter life as a teacher, with (apparently) Yacine. There was also Helena, daughter of upper middle class, anglomaniac translator, long addicted to married men and older than she, before the coming of Vincent. Helen was friendly milestone in the life of Peter, as it was for Mary, a fatherless child become eater of men, over a chaotic existence that night bleak day. And our love is bitter-sweet miniature, without nostalgia or tragedy insensitive slip into adulthood - one who mourns youth by doubling it with mixed feelings. What makes it very engaging novel is its quiet way to avoid all the clichés that diving could raise the banalities aloud staging. Instead, it is a labile voice that leads us, according to a syncopated language, short sentences, sometimes cryptic, evoking the zoological gardens of Yves Navarre. A real success.
