12 colors are only once adequate for children. You are fully painted, colors are therefore "recognized at first sight", even if you have a lot of pins in a box. The BIC crayons are slightly shorter than usual, long models. They are therefore very comfortable to hold. My kids are 5 and 7 years old. Both hold the pins automatically correct (because the rounded triangular shape) and feel the painting with them more pleasant than with thin pins. The best for us is still not broken pen. This comes in other ever in the box in front without painting it. The breakage therefore very confident. With a large Spitzer allows the crayons sharpen easily, even with the triangular shape.
Now to the tappings. In my opinion, the inking might be a little easier, hiding. The manufacturer should once again look for the mixing ratio of the colors. The crayons paint well, there are much worse models, but appear mainly bright colors a little too bright. Children need to use more force when painting. My kids have not complained about this point, but that's my impression when I paint with the pins. Here, the perception will differ depending on the user.
Conclusion: Good and Recommended crayons without questionable ingredients, for a reasonable price. Great quality, absolutely convincing break resistance. The drawing properties are satisfactory, but could go to my taste a bit easier on the hand.
