Pure audio delight

The Z5500 with its undistorted sounds even if the system is turned on stop thrilled. Kudos to Logitech, excellent workmanship. Unfortunately, the gigantic volume is not enough for any living room, the cables. For the straight line, the cable would probably be sufficient, but who wants to have cables lying across the living room ... However, you can easily turn off this little problem with cable clamps. From me there is no penalty for it.

Furthermore, the system is also very good for relaxing. The tones are crystal clear even at low volume levels. No noise of the satellite, no hum of the subwoofer!

The system is designed primarily for movies. Games of the new generation with the Z5500 is also a treat. Eg transfers the Playstation 3 set the tone at the games in Dolby Digital format.

Thanks to Dolby Pro Logic II Music is also reproduced in the simulated surround mode. This also applies to movies with stereo sound.

I also did it happen that the security of the system is repeatedly blown. Here are a few hints: The system requires fuses of the type T (slow). medium or Flex fuses fly out already with slight fluctuations. I was about to complain about the system. Solution in my case: The power strip! With cheap power strips with on-off switch, this can happen if no bounce-free switch is installed. I have replaced the bar and since I had no more problems.

Finally, a few small tips for people which is not loud loud enough or my living room would be too great:

The Logitech Z5500 THX Surround system features a 11-fold boost. Is the volume turned up turning the volume control in a full circle. Then no longer the volume bar, but the boost from level 1 to 11 will be displayed, however, the manufacturer indicates that the boost for softly recorded movies and music is there, one should not exaggerate so.

Tip in the preparation of the subwoofer for the ultimate bass even in larger rooms:
Imagine the subwoofer in a corner of the room with a small distance to the walls. In this case, the hole should be directed to the one wall, the membrane to the other wall. So the sound of the subwoofer is echoed from the walls.

I would recommend the Logitech Z5500 5.1 THX Surround system only recommend! The price / performance ratio is outstanding, I have no regrets cents, I have invested.
