Diana Krall sings with an insinuating voice standards-based quiet Jazzbaladen with economical instrumental accompaniment (bass, a gentle electric guitar, piano - no drums!). The woven by the instruments dark sound patterns to match with the voice and give a real log fire atmosphere. The piano is here moreover not as dominant as in some later recordings. Who likes this recording, which probably will appeal to the style similar Held CD All for You, which I personally think is more successful.
The CD is quite directly received with a warm and full sound. In the voice of every nuance can be heard. The piano is kept a little too much in the background for my taste.
